Have you noticed the big clearing in the bamboo forest across from the Family Life Center?
Last summer we had a big tree fall and we had to have it removed for safety reasons. The equipment required left a big hole in the woods. So we thought let's make lemonade out of lemons.
Over the next year or so you will begin to see that area transform into an outdoor amphitheater. It will be a fun place for our children, youth and church members to study, play and worship in an outdoor setting so close to the city center.
Several Avondale Youth and close friends were looking for Eagle (Boy Scouts) or Gold (Girl Scouts) projects and have zeroed in on this area. If you have any questions or are looking for ways to help, feel free to reach out.
